Authentic Restoration Services

RBV^a has fully restored 20 homes and has been involved in the restoration of 100's more.  We provide Restoration Services beginning in the design phase, throughout the construction phase and ending with completing the punch list.  Although all restorations are unique, they do generally include the following phases:

Design and Planning:

In the majority of restorations, the homeowner is encouraged to work with an architect to develop the restoration design.  RBV^a  reviews the design and provides practical input relative to restoring the historical elements of the building.  In other words, we help determine where modernization makes sense and which elements would be important to restore in order to maintain the original design.

Implementation:

RBV^a  develops a budget for the project, obtains permits, schedules sub-contractors and sets a project completion date.

Construction:

We coordinate every aspect of the construction phase and maintain good communication with the homeowner and architect throughout the process. RBV^a  President, David Cooley meets with Field Supervisors weekly to ensure project momentum, quality assurance and complete client satisfaction.

Project Completion:

At RBV^a  we pride ourselves on providing a true turnkey service to our clients.  We complete the final details on the project and leave the project area free of debris from the construction.  Just turn the key and step into your newly restored home.

Fine Carpentry Services

Our definition of Fine Carpentry is carefully executed cutting and fitting of woodwork.

At RBV^a, we boast that "no one can do a better job" and we mean it.  Our experience includes the precise installation and/or restoration of molding, panels, wainscot, built-in bookcases, cabinetry, stair railings and door hanging.  We have even designed and produced wood elements from pictures when the original pieces were missing.  Our fine carpentry services are generally in a sub-contractor capacity and are extensive.  These services range from finish carpentry on commercial projects to fine woodworking details in residential applications.

Sensitive Addition & Remodeling Services

The same construction management services are applied to additions and remodeling.  We work with the homeowner to develop a design and budget.  Again, we encourage the involvement of a design professional to put the homeowners ideas into the language of construction.

When we begin an addition or remodeling project we create an organized barrier between the construction area and the rest of the building.  We take special care to insure that the client's living space is maintained throughout the process.

We consider additions sensitive because we understand the importance of blending a cohesive look between the existing building and the new area.  Respect for the original design and attention to detail are what you will find in an RBV^a addition.

Our additions and remodels pay close attention to function, blending the existing conditions with the new, and delivering the project fully detailed and professionally cleaned.
