Project Notes
This contract included all trim carpentry
associated with the restoration of the Governor's Mansion, from
rebuilding the roof balustrade over the portico to hanging new doors in
the basement. RBVa carpenters hung new doors in
existing openings and installed woodwork to match existing trim.
Necessary restoration of exterior trim involved replacing some rotten
architectural elements and using epoxy when needed. Custom
cabinetry was installed in bathrooms, offices, dressing rooms and the
kitchen. All new trim was installed in the basement and family
living quarters. This was all done within a strict schedule and
was completed on time. RBVa worked closely with the
architect and general contractor to complete the job to everyone's
satisfaction.
